The Anthros is designed to fit most adults, with a seat height range of 17" to 20.6".
General height guide:
• Under 5'3": The chair works, but you'll likely need the Anthros Foot Support ($49) to keep your feet flat and maintain proper hip angles at a standard desk
• 5'3" to 6'4": You should fit comfortably without modifications
• Over 6'4": Reach out before ordering — the chair can often still work, but we want to confirm your specific measurements
What about the back system?
The Anthros back pads adjust based on your seated position, not your height. Taller people sit deeper in the seat, which positions the low back pad differently than for shorter people — but the pad meets the top of your pelvis regardless. Back support isn't height-dependent the way it is on traditional chairs.
Sharing with someone taller?
The Anthros is a one-size-adjusts-all design. Two people of significantly different heights can share the same chair — just reset the seat height, back pads, and arm height for each person. The shorter person may need the foot support.
