How does it promote posture? The angle of the pelvis determines the position of the spine. The pelvis is connected to the base of the spine by multiple ligaments. When the pelvis rotates, the spine has no choice but to follow. You can test this by sitting upright, then tilt your pelvis backwards, you'll notice the spine automatically goes into a "c" curve. Now bring your pelvis forward into neutral and your spine automatically follows into an "s" curve. This is why the only way to maintain a neutral upright posture and lumbar curve is to support the pelvis in neutral. This in turn balances the thoracic and cervical spine. The Anthros upper back can then be adjusted to come in to meet the thoracic area of the spine to provide balancing support. If you'd like to talk more about this please meet with one of our therapists who can explain in more depth: https://www.anthros.com/calendar
